I had a Ring cam before and switched to Ezviz for my outdoor cams. I think the video quality is better for the price with Ezviz, and the pan-tilt on the C8C is awesome.

Eufy is good for local storage but Ezviz has some solid cloud options if you go that route. For value, Ezviz often has better deals on multi-camera setups than Ring.

You can definitely use an SD card for local recording, don't need the subscription for that. I've got one in my TY1.

Nah, subscription is just for cloud stuff. SD card works fine for continuous recording on the camera itself.
